Though we both attended TCU and shared countless mutual friends, our paths never officially crossed—Andrew was busy conquering the business school while Anika immersed herself in creative projects. Life took us in different directions after graduation, with Andrew moving to Manhattan and Anika heading to Los Angeles.
Fate finally stepped in during a trip to Nashville in 2019. A girls' weekend turned into an unexpected TCU reunion, and somewhere between the music, dancing, and late-night laughs, we felt the spark. But with separate lives in separate cities, we figured that was it.
Six months later, Andrew moved to LA, and with a little nudge from friends (and a bold cold call from a Kentucky area code), we reconnected. This time, everything aligned, and amidst the chaos of 2020, something extraordinary began.
Beyond a shared love of adventure, great food, and making each other laugh, golf became a special part of our relationship—countless rounds played, lessons learned, and memories made. And on a warm summer night, on the 18th green of the course where Anika first learned to swing a club, Andrew got down on one knee.
Looking back, it’s clear there was always an invisible string pulling us toward each other—through near-misses at TCU, a fateful weekend in Nashville, and the life we’ve built together. Right place, right time, and now, forever.
